Snikwah’s Proprietary DriRelease® Fabric Delivers Over 50+ UPF Rating
In September 2014, Shenzhen Academy of Metrology & Quality Inspection published their results on Snikwah’s proprietary blend of Snikwah’s Dri-Release® fabric for UPF protection. Shenzhen tested the following colors: white, black, grey, blue, yellow, pink, red, orange, teal, blue camo sublimation and the pink camo sublimation. Snikwah was awarded the highest rating possible, greater than 50 UPF factor on all colors except white and the sublimation blends which use white as the base material. The white blends tested an unheard-of over 44+ UPF. It is very rare for the majority of an ecological textile line to receive a 50+ UPF rating. Most commercially available fabrics including specialty fabrics fall well below this Gold Standard in skin protection.
